Tablo backs BTS’s Grammy decision with ‘ARIRANG>GRAMMYS’ message
Tablo has publicly supported BTS’s choice not to submit music to the upcoming Grammy Awards.
On July 29, Tablo reposted a message originally shared by BTS’s RM on social media and added “ARIRANG>GRAMMYS,” a reference to BTS’s full album ‘ARIRANG’ released earlier this year.
BTS announced the same day that they will not submit their music for consideration at the 69th Grammy Awards.
BTS said:
“We hope music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language,”
The group’s announcement followed the Recording Academy’s introduction of a new ‘Best Asian Pop Music Performance’ category.
Tablo and Epik High have maintained a close relationship with BTS. RM has frequently mentioned Tablo as an influence, and the artists have worked together on projects over the years.
