NEWBEAT wins KM Next Potential Award at KMA 2026, praises RESCENE

NEWBEAT won the ‘KM Next Potential Award’ at the ‘KMA (KM Chart Awards) 2026’ on July 26 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
The rookie group gave an emotional acceptance speech and cited girl group RESCENE as their inspiration.
They also explained the story behind a congratulations video they had recently posted for RESCENE’s first-ever music show win three years after debut.
The members opened their speech by expressing gratitude.
“Thank you for inviting us to such a meaningful event and presenting us with this precious award.”
They continued with a candid message about their own struggles and hopes.
“Our members have also gone through tough times, but seeing RESCENE taught us that if we keep working hard without giving up, our shining moment will eventually come. We will run silently along our path without doubting ourselves, becoming a team that never surrenders its dreams and hope”
Overwhelmed with emotion during the message, several members broke into tears on stage.
Hosted by KM Chart and KM Chart World and organized by the KMA Committee alongside UPICK, ‘KMA 2026’ was held as a major music festival celebrating top artists and fans from the past year.
The event featured a lineup that included TOMORROW X TOGETHER, P1Harmony, Hi-Fi Un!corn, ZEROBASEONE, 82MAJOR, UNIS, VVUP, KickFlip, Hearts2Hearts, NEWBEAT, ALL DAY PROJECT, CORTIS, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, LNGSHOT, and MODYSSEY.
