IU files petition in U.S. court to identify malicious commenter

Singer IU has filed a petition to identify a malicious commenter.
On July 15, she filed a petition against Meta in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. This action aims to obtain evidence for a civil defamation lawsuit pending in Korea.
According to Dispatch, IU has identified the Threads account @7h***, which has damaged her image and reputation by posting 52 false posts between March and October of last year.
IU’s representatives stated that it is challenging to continue the lawsuit in Korea without identifying the user. They are requesting the U.S. Court to order Meta to submit information about the user.
The application categorized the malicious posts into six types: allegations of plagiarism, false claims related to China, false claims about overseas accomplishments, allegations of marketing the deceased, allegations of media control and manipulation of public opinion, and linking song lyrics to national tragedies.
Meanwhile, IU continues to take legal action against malicious commenters.
