Tony Leung Discusses His Role in NewJeans Music Video

Tony Leung clears up why he appeared in NewJeans’ music video — no payment involved.
The Hong Kong star recently spoke out after his cameo in NewJeans’ “Cool With You” MV raised questions.
A video just dropped on GQ Korea’s official YouTube featuring Tony Leung and actor Lee Jung Jae chatting about the project.
Tony Leung said he didn’t get paid for the appearance.

He added he hopes the MV is seen as a gift for Korean fans.
Lee Jung Jae chipped in about the director’s excitement.
“The director of that music video is close with me. That director proudly told me, ‘I’m so honored to be filming with Tony Leung.’ He was really excited.” — Lee Jung Jae
Tony also shared about a previous music video he was in for singer The Name back in 2002 with Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu Seung Bum, even singing the song in Chinese.
