Actor Unemployed for Three Years Fears Facing Starvation

Lee Hoon is opening up about his career struggles and fears for his future.
The veteran actor revealed on KBS’s Unpredictable Fortunetellers that multiple projects have fallen through recently. A 2024 K-Drama he was filming got scrapped. Another project slated for the U.S. in 2025 was postponed indefinitely. Even a planned 2026 project got pushed back because of budget problems.
These delays have left Lee Hoon considering his next move. He’s at a critical crossroad. He said he might quit acting but can’t quite let go because new chances still come—just don’t happen.
Show host Seo Jang Hoon gave some blunt advice. He said Lee Hoon is hardworking but prideful and stubborn. Seo thinks it’s time for Lee Hoon to drop some pride and go after roles more aggressively, even if it means stepping out of his comfort zone.
“At this rate, I feel like I’m going to starve to death. I’m really desperate. I’m willing to audition for roles, too. I’ve even won acting awards. Please call me anytime. This is really hard.”
