Young K of DAY6 held a surprise busking live at Times Square Atrium in Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo District on July 23 ahead of his second full-length album ‘YOUNGEST’.

He opened with “F world”, then admitted the crowd was bigger than he imagined and said he felt overwhelmed.

He playfully explained that he came out to slip into fans’ algorithms, pointing out that many people were already filming on their phones. He asked those posting clips to include ‘YOUNGEST’ and the title track “Shut The Door” so more listeners could find the comeback.

He described “F world” as a song for moments when life feels unfair, frustrating, and impossible to fix. He also introduced “Yonge St.” as a personal track tied to memories of making and singing music with friends during his study-abroad days in Toronto.

Another performed song drew from the feeling of wanting to head home, with lyrics meant to echo the inner lives of tired workers. Young K said a friend told him the song would fit the commute to work, not just the way home.

The busking ended with “Shut The Door”, which Young K said took the title-track spot among the album’s 15 songs. He described it as a track about closing the heart’s door and turning up the sound of oneself when hurt.

Young K will release ‘YOUNGEST’ on July 27 at 6 PM KST, following ‘Eternal’ and ‘Letters with notes’. The album contains 15 tracks, and Young K took a leading role in writing and composing every song.
