‘The Employee of My Favorite’ centers on the journey of Nam Dareum, portrayed by actress Kim Hyejun. Nam Dareum has supported Lee Chan, the visual member of D.N.X played by Cha Woomin, for twelve years. Her goal of becoming a ‘successful fan’ leads her to join Apello, a company co-founded by Lee Chan and Kang Hagi, portrayed by actor Kang Hoon. The drama promises a sweet and intriguing office romance as Nam Dareum adjusts to working closely with her long-time idol.

D.N.X—an acronym for ‘Destiny Never X’—debuted in 2015 as a five-member idol group. The lineup includes Lee Chan (Cha Woomin), the youngest member Roy (Cheon Woojin), the leader Hyuk (Hyun Seok), Tae Oh (Baek Seung), and Jinu (Jung Hyunmin).

The group quickly rose to prominence thanks to their refreshing visuals, rich vocal abilities, and powerful, eye-catching choreography. Their debut was described as a comet-like appearance in the music scene.

During their heyday, D.N.X enjoyed considerable popularity and fan affection for their songs, stages, and the members’ chemistry. However, for reasons yet to be revealed within the drama’s plot, the group has been unable to make a comeback. This hiatus forms a crucial backdrop for the character’s motivations.

The newly released concept photos vividly show the members’ contrasting yet harmonious aesthetics. The images offer hints at the group’s backstory and the relationships that will be explored in the series.

‘The Employee of My Favorite’ is scheduled to premiere on August 3 at 8:45 PM KST, inviting viewers to explore into the intertwined lives of Nam Dareum and Lee Chan as their fan-idol relationship transforms into a workplace dynamic.
