Taichi was previously a JYP Entertainment trainee and competed in Nizi Project Season 2, but ultimately failed to debut through the show. He later joined Boy’s II Planet, but was eliminated in overall 95th place.

He recently opened a YouTube channel where he shared updates on his life, including his boyfriend. He recently shared another video looking back at his idol trainee days with friends who were also trainees.

While speaking with Miura Sodai, a Nizi Project competitor and current composer, he asked if, back then, Miura had any clue he was gay. Miura admitted he had the thought, but it did not affect their friendship.

Taichi also spoke about ways he attempted to appear “not gay,” including his “Hiphop” concept.

Taichi: “not gay,”

Taichi: “Hiphop”

He directly says that he listened to Stray Kids in order to appear as though he wasn’t gay, later adding that he thought he should be a manly and hip idol like BTS.

Ultimately, it seems Taichi has found his niche in the world.
