Former Idol and Actor Anticipates First Child Following Unexpected Retirement and Exit from Korea

Song Seunghyun is stepping into fatherhood.

The former FTISLAND member announced on April 21, 2026 (KST) that he and his wife are expecting their first child. He shared an ultrasound photo on social media with the message:

“See you soon, our little sunshine,”

Fans quickly noticed how clear the baby’s features are in the ultrasound.

Since debuting as FTISLAND’s guitarist in 2009, Song Seunghyun made a name for himself in the group’s peak years. He left FTISLAND in 2019 after his contract ended and went into acting.

In 2024, he surprised fans by announcing his marriage and retirement from the entertainment industry.

Song Seunghyun and his wife now live in the United States. They reportedly run a food business together.
