BLACKPINK Jisoo is facing backlash after her brother, Kim Jung Hun, was linked to a sexual assault case that has been developing since last year.

The controversy began when allegations first surfaced in May 2025 on Blind, an anonymous workplace platform. A post claimed a woman was secretly filmed during a sexual encounter with Jisoo’s brother. The post was quickly deleted but stated that the victim was not the only one.

Recently, on April 16, a female streamer reported an indecent assault, leading to the arrest of a man identified only as A. He allegedly bought a “date ticket” with the streamer, had dinner and drinks, then took her home and engaged in non-consensual physical contact. The streamer also accused him of attempted sexual assault and blackmail.

After media reports revealed the suspect’s last name as Kim and shared other accusations, strong evidence pointed to Kim Jung Hun. An account claiming to be his wife posted handwritten statements online, accusing him of abuse, online monitoring, social restrictions, and sexual assault, supported by photographic evidence.

As the situation unfolded, questions arose about Jisoo’s involvement and her brother’s role in her management. However, both alleged victims denied any connection to Jisoo, with one stating that only Kim Jung Hun was at fault and that his family should not be blamed.

Kim Jung Hun’s alleged wife also said it was possible Jisoo was unaware of the situation and that she didn’t know about the family relation when they married. Additional claims from the alleged wife included past abuse toward Kim’s first wife and a divorce.
