Well-Known Korean Actor Addresses Speculations About His Sexuality
Ahn Jae Hyun faces talk about his sexuality over past rumors and music video history.
The controversy started on the April 9 broadcast of KBS 2TV’s Problem Child In House. K.Will and Ahn Jae Hyun appeared as guests.
K.Will revealed how Ahn Jae Hyun became close to him through a popular music video for the song Please Don’t… where Ahn Jae Hyun and Seo In Guk appeared.
“Among my songs, there’s one called ‘Please Don’t…’ Jae Hyun and Seo In Guk appeared in the music video for that song. At that time, Jae Hyun was preparing to start acting and had just begun variety shows. Appearing in my music video became somewhat of a hot topic.”

The music video gained massive attention, hitting 85 million views worldwide. Joo Woo Jae added,
“This music video has 85 million views. It’s been watched a lot overseas too.”
Ahn Jae Hyun described filming the video not fully understanding its story.
“I had no idea. At the end while filming, In Guk was riding straight ahead beside me. I thought he was playing a ghost. That was the big picture the director and senior had in mind.”
Since then, Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun have been nicknamed “World Gay” because of the video’s vibe.
Ahn Jae Hyun also addressed longstanding rumors about his sexuality in the modeling world.
“In the modeling market, I often handled both menswear and womenswear. When you do that well, rumors start to spread. That was the point where I realized, ‘I’m really doing well.’”

Joo Woo Jae added,
“That’s inevitable. When there’s a women’s fashion show, 2 to 3 male models stand too. You were always among them.”
Ahn Jae Hyun also shared how skinny he got back then.
“When I was really thin during my modeling days (at 186cm) I weighed 64kg, and during collection seasons, 60kg. When I lost that much weight, my hands would shake as I came home because I hadn’t eaten much.”
K.Will questioned,
“Why did you not eat until your hands shake?”
Hong Jin Kyung defended the young model.
“For shows, you have to be as thin as a sheet of paper to look good on stage and to highlight the clothing’s fit.”
