BABYMONSTER’s “MOON” performance video hits No. 1 on YouTube worldwide trending

BABYMONSTER released a new performance video for “MOON” and the clip shot to No. 1 on YouTube’s worldwide trending chart.
On the 5th, YG Entertainment posted the “BABYMONSTER – “MOON” PERFORMANCE VIDEO” on its official blog. The upload adds to a large-scale run of content that the group has rolled out since May: four music videos and two choreography videos tied to their third mini album.
The performance opens with the members on a darkened street in coordinated all-black looks. Sharp movements and controlled pacing drive the choreography, and during the chorus the group performs unison hand gestures and a moon-shaped point move timed with the lyric “I’m the moon.”
Individual stage presence also drew attention. The members used strong eye contact, dramatic gestures, grillz and sunglasses to push a vampire-like mood and deepen the song’s dreamier, darker vibe.
Global fans said the performance video “captured the choreography itself in dense detail, offering a different charm from the “MOON” music video.” Viewers praised the set, the camera work that followed the changing formations, and the group’s upgraded skills.
The new performance video reached No. 1 on YouTube’s worldwide trending chart, following the “MOON” music video which had already been posted on YouTube and was rapidly gaining views amid praise for its mysterious storyline and conceptual theme. Attention is now on how both videos perform going forward.
