New ‘Great Escape’ season to premiere late 2026 with Kim Jongmin and Seungkwan
‘Great Escape’ will premiere a new season on TVING in the second half of 2026, CJ ENM announced.
The cast mixes returning faces with a new addition. Original members Kim Jongmin and Shin Dong are back. Regulars Kim Donghyun, Yoo Byungjae, and Go Kyungpyo will also return. Joining them is SEVENTEEN‘s Seungkwan.
The show first debuted in 2018 on tvN. It became known for its large-scale sets, intricate storylines, and immersive worldbuilding, and helped expand the escape-room genre in Korean variety.
Role details for the new season were listed. Kim Jongmin returns as the sharp “clue finder,” nicknamed “Kim Discovery.” Shin Dong continues as “Captain Shin,” the team’s analytical anchor. Kim Donghyun will handle the physically demanding missions. Yoo Byungjae takes on the role of the group’s “clue storyteller.”
Producers said the season aims to build on the show’s reputation for elaborate escape scenarios and team chemistry by pairing veteran cast members with a new addition.
