GOT7’s Youngjae receives full payment for ‘Dream High 2’ role

GOT7’s Youngjae has received the full outstanding payment for his part in the musical Dream High 2, the production company Art One Company announced on August 3.
Art One Company said it reached a settlement with Youngjae after conducting mutual verification and negotiations regarding the unpaid fees. The company stated the payment is now completely settled.
The company added it audited payment records for everyone involved in the production — actors, dancers, and staff — and that any remaining amounts owed have either been paid or are currently being processed.
Youngjae filed a legal complaint in January after not receiving his full fee following the musical’s end. He also raised the matter on social media, writing in July that almost a year had gone by without a solution.
Art One Company apologized for the worry caused by the payment delays and said it plans to strengthen its payment and production systems to avoid similar problems in the future.
Youngjae is the main vocalist of GOT7, a seven-member group that debuted in 2014 under JYP Entertainment. The members began promoting independently from 2021. Outside of group activities, Youngjae has expanded into musical theater and television hosting, including his stage role in Dream High 2.
