HYBE’s TUIDE to debut August 24 with mini album ‘TUNE & PLAY’
TUIDE will debut on August 24 at 6 PM KST with their first mini album ‘TUNE & PLAY’, HYBE announced.
The seven-member group is the first act to debut under HYBE’s new label ABD.
Members are Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seia, and Lee Hanee. Their birth years span 2006 to 2011. The members come from Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
The label said:
“The group’s name is derived from the phrase “Tune the tide.” According to the label, the debut album ‘TUNE & PLAY’ is built around uniting different musical languages into one rhythm (“Tune”) and the enjoyment found within that harmony (“Play”).”
Before the official debut, the group held a pre-release showcase titled TUIDE EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW [PLAYGROUND] on August 1 and 2 at Layer Studio 11 in Seoul’s Mapo district. At the event, TUIDE performed every track from the upcoming mini album.
The project is led by producer Han Sung Soo, who has previously worked with Seventeen, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS.
In the run-up to their debut, TUIDE released introduction photos and videos across their official social media channels.
