allkpop launches “B-Side” as new destination for K-pop analysis, insider stories and fan discussion
allkpop is introducing B-Side, a new space for K-pop and K-culture experts to share in-depth perspectives, analyses, and insider stories.
B-Side will host long-form pieces from contributors who “truly know their field,” offering deeper takes on people, trends, music, and culture that shape the K-pop world.
The name “B-Side” comes from vinyl records and cassette tapes, where the A-side held the title track promoted to the mainstream and the B-side contained album tracks, unreleased songs, remixes, and fan favorites.
allkpop says this new section is meant to surface the “hidden gems” and “the stories behind the headlines”—the longer conversations and fresh perspectives that don’t always appear on the front page.
B-Side is designed for reader participation as well. Every article is “an invitation to join the discussion” so fans can “share your perspective, exchange ideas with fellow fans, and become part of the conversation.”
allkpop plans to publish new expert features on a regular basis and invites readers to try the site and share feedback.
