Jung Il Woo signs with Galaxy Corporation as agency plans global expansion
Jung Il Woo has signed with Galaxy Corporation, the agency announced on July 29.
Galaxy Corporation released a statement on the move and highlighted the actor’s pan-Asian appeal.
Galaxy Corporation said:
“Jung Il Woo is a global Hallyu actor who has been loved across Asia for many years. We look forward to creating new synergies in the global market together”
Jung Il Woo began his acting career in 2006 with the MBC sitcom High Kick!.
His credits include the dramas Moon Embracing the Sun, Diary of a Night Watchman, and Cinderella and Four Knights.
2026 marks the 20th year since his debut.
In May, he held a fan meeting titled Still Here in Hangzhou, China. The event featured a retrospective interview, games, a Q&A session, and live performances.
Also in May, he attended the International Economic, Trade, and Cultural Exchange Forum in Shanghai and was named an Asia-Pacific Economic, Trade, and Cultural Exchange Ambassador.
Most recently, Jung Il Woo appears in the Amazon Prime Video original series The Outlaw, playing the character Takigawa. The series has ranked No. 1 in viewership for three consecutive weeks since it was released.
Galaxy Corporation describes itself as an AI entertainment technology company. Its roster includes G-Dragon, Song Kang Ho, Taemin, Kim Jong Kook, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Lee Jung Hoo.
