Red Velvet to debut “Surfin’ Boy” at Seoul fan concert before ‘Velvet Summer’ release

Red Velvet will perform their new title track “Surfin’ Boy” for the first time at their upcoming fan concert before the song’s official release.
‘2026 Red Velvet FAN-CON ‘A Day in Red & Velvet” runs from July 31 to August 2 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul. All three shows are sold out. The final performance on August 2 will be streamed live worldwide through Beyond LIVE.
The group’s summer mini album Velvet Summer is set to drop on August 3, led by “Surfin’ Boy.” The dance track mixes bossa nova guitar, a laid-back reggae rhythm, and house groove. Member Joy wrote the lyrics about cherished summer memories with a loved one. The choreography pairs the chorus with the Hawaiian “shaka” hand sign and wave-like movements.
On release day, Red Velvet will hold a countdown live at 5 PM KST on their official YouTube and TikTok channels.
Velvet Summer is Red Velvet’s first full-group comeback since “Cosmic” in June 2024.
