BABYMONSTER unveils first “MOON” visuals with Pharita and Asa ahead of August 3 MV release

BABYMONSTER revealed the first visuals for “MOON,” a B-side from their third mini album [CHOOM], on July 28.

YG Entertainment posted “[CHOOM] ‘MOON’ VISUAL PHOTO” on its official blog. The post followed a teaser poster showing a giant full moon over a forest and introduced visuals of Pharita and Asa for the first time.

Both members stare directly into the camera with intense expressions. Pharita shows contrast between faint brows and smoky makeup. Asa poses leaning against a sofa, wearing bold accessories and statement nails.

“MOON” is the first track of the mini album. The song is a southern trap-style R&B hip-hop track defined by its 808 bass and minimal composition. The track has received praise from global music fans since its release. Its performance, which premiered at the group’s recent Seoul concerts, drew an explosive response.

Fans are expecting a concept that is the opposite of the refreshing energy of “I LIKE IT.” YG previously stated:

“This music video focuses on capturing the song’s mysterious, dreamlike atmosphere through sensuous visuals,”

YG said the remaining members’ visuals will be revealed sequentially. The music video for “MOON” is set to premiere on August 3 at midnight KST.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER’s third mini album title track “CHOOM” entered Mediabase’s ‘Top 40’ US mainstream radio chart at No. 35. The group is currently on the Japanese leg of their second world tour and will continue touring across five continents: Asia, Oceania, South America, North America, and Europe.
