KATSEYE earns in-depth UK Official Charts feature as “Animal” climbs

KATSEYE received an in-depth feature from the UK’s Official Charts on July 24 focused on their latest single “Animal”.
The Official Charts published a long-form piece that examined the group’s chart performance and growing influence in the British pop market.
The UK’s Official Charts titled its analysis:
“Why KATSEYE is destined to become the UK’s next pop icon.”
The story notes KATSEYE was formed through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records and links the group to Bang Si Hyuk‘s goal to globalize the K-pop production system.
The group’s rise in the UK began in 2025 when “Gnarly” entered the UK Official Singles Top 100. Songs including “Gabriela,” “INTERNET GIRL,” and “PINKY UP” have followed, building their presence. Collaborations with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT on “ICONIC BY MISTAKE,” and the resurgence of their nearly two-year-old track “Touch,” have expanded their global fanbase.
The Official Charts emphasized that KATSEYE’s achievements go beyond typical rookie success, highlighting their systematic training, performance planning, and fan engagement as part of a model that is evolving into a mainstream pop standard worldwide.
Since its release, “Animal” has climbed Spotify’s global charts and held a spot within the global daily top 10 songs. The group is also increasing its presence in the US market, boosting their influence in global streaming.
KATSEYE won three trophies at the 2026 American Music Awards, including “New Artist of the Year,” and received two Grammy Award nominations.
The group will release their third EP, WILD, featuring “Animal,” on August 14. They will then begin the ‘THE WILDWORLD Tour’ across North America and Europe starting in September.
The Official Charts feature frames KATSEYE’s progress as an example of how the Korean K-pop production system is shaping new global pop paradigms.
