BABYMONSTER to release ‘MOON’ music video on August 3 at midnight KST
BABYMONSTER will release the music video for “MOON” on August 3 at midnight KST. “MOON” is a B-side from their third mini album ‘[CHOOM]’.
On July 27, YG Entertainment posted “[CHOOM] ‘MOON’ M/V ANNOUNCEMENT” on its official blog. The post follows earlier teases from general producer Yang Hyun Suk and confirms this will be the group’s fourth music video from the album, after the title track “CHOOM,” the digital single “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” and the B-side “I LIKE IT.”
The teaser poster shows a giant full moon shining over a forest submerged in darkness. The image uses deep contrasts of light and shadow to create a dreamlike, mysterious mood, and the song title “MOON” appears in red typography.
YG stated:
“This music video focuses on capturing the mysterious, dreamlike atmosphere of ‘MOON’ through sensuous visuals,”
“It will present a new side of BABYMONSTER’s charm, with a mood entirely different from the refreshing energy of ‘I LIKE IT.'”
“MOON” is described as a southern trap-style R&B hip-hop track defined by its 808 bass and minimal composition. Synthesizer sounds and lyrics with an offbeat storyline are noted as part of the song’s color, and the track has earned praise from global music fans since the album’s release.
The song drew an especially hot response when its performance premiered at ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM] IN SEOUL,’ increasing anticipation for the full music video.
BABYMONSTER kicked off their second world tour, ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM],’ with Seoul concerts last June.
