Groups named as targets include BTS, SEVENTEEN, NCT 127, TXT, and TWS.

In a recent case, two women broke into the home of the boy group CORTIS. The women told the police that they bought the group’s address online.

Sellers advertise on platforms such as X (Twitter). When a buyer shows interest, the transaction moves into private chat apps like Telegram or WeChat to complete the sale.

Big Hit Music has been reporting these illegal accounts to the police. The company says it’s difficult to stop the activity quickly because the sellers use foreign platforms and identifying them takes time.

Investigations point to staff at airlines and hotels as frequent sources of the leaked data.

Experts say companies handling travel and accommodation information need much stricter security. They also call for better cooperation with international police to fix the problem for good.
