Jennie’s “Less than a Lover” reaches No. 1 on iTunes in 27 regions

Jennie‘s new single “Less than a Lover” reached #1 on the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 27 countries and regions, her agency OA Entertainment said on July 25. The track was released on July 24 at 1 PM.

OA Entertainment named Brazil, the Philippines, and Indonesia among the markets where the song topped iTunes. The agency also said this is the highest number of regional #1s achieved by a K-pop solo song released this year.

In China, the single reached #1 on QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, and Kugou Music. It also earned a Gold certification on QQ Music.

The music video went straight to the top of YouTube’s Music Video Trending Worldwide list and ranked #1 on video trending charts in South Korea and the United States. On domestic charts, the song landed at #2 on South Korea’s Melon HOT100. It also charted high on Apple Music in Southeast Asian markets like Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos.

Meanwhile, Jennie’s previous collaboration “Dracula” with Australian band Tame Impala held at #5 for a second consecutive week on the US Billboard Hot 100 as of July 25.

Jennie is scheduled to headline ‘Lollapalooza Chicago‘ in Grant Park on August 1, then appear at ‘SUMMER SONIC 2026‘ in Tokyo on August 14 and Osaka on August 16.
